FSHLB Founder - John Gilbert, Ph.D.

Dr. John Gilbert has taught beginning, intermediate and advanced meditation workshops and courses for Universal Seminary since 1972 and the Temple of Gnostic Yoga since 1994. His ordained name is Mahaswami Medhirananda in the lineage of Paramahansa Yogananda the author of "Autobiography of a Yoga."  Dr. Gilbert has a Ph.D. in Education and a D.D. in Comparative Religions. John has also taught Qaballah for Universal Seminary since 1972. He'was a visiting professor of Qabalah at several colleges and seminaries.

Dr. Gilbert has also been the Executive Director of several boards - including. the Peak Performance Board, Reflexology Certification Board,  the Neurological and Biofeedback Board (NBCB), which merged into the Natural Therapies Board where he serves as a mentor. He currently works with the American Accreditation Commission, and the Federation of Licensed Spiritual Healers. Dr. Gilbert is the creator of the Academy4Coaching teaching program which has assisted many practitioners to understand their legal obligations in working with clients.
